Oh where has this year seriously gone to! Another semester is done at Pitt, on Christmas Vacation, Steve's working and Kara is as busy as busy can be. OK she is napping right now, but I am very sure her dreams are just as active as she!
School for me went rather well. I got 2 A's, and 2 A-'s. That puts me up and well over the number of A's I had in 4 years! Boy if I only knew then to what I know now. Life would be so much better...Maybe. But I have three classes left (kines, field experience III and methods of PE and Health.) Then I can student teach in the fall of 08. That is all I need to get my certification. BUT, I am going to look into finishing up the actual Health and PE degree since I will be 3 classes short of the degree. Then a masters degree. So far I am looking into Adapted PE, with a possible concentration in behavioral, if that is possible. We shall see.
Work has been OK. I have a client that I can really work with, and have no major issues what so ever. But I am really contemplating on starting on substitute teaching with the local schools to get my name into more of the schools. I know I will be limited due to schooling and my field experience, but I feel it would be well worth it in the long run.
Steve's business has been doing really good. I have been doing all the number crunching which is giving me a major headache, but things look great for him. He's been working about 35 - 45 hours a week, and getting in with some more reputable companies in the area. I am so happy that this venture has really panned out for him. I am feeling more and more comfortable with this decision that he made 2 years ago.
Kara is stretching so much lately. I was wondering if all the clothes that we just got her will fit for the next few months. She is a busy little girl as always. I wouldn't have it any other way! She thinks she can read now! And let me tell ya, she has a very good imagination and tells a good story thanks to the pictures in the books. We are starting to write our name too. Lots of encouragement, but it is going rather well otherwise.
Christmas went rather well! Kara thinks Santa is the best! She went nuts when she saw her new Dora blanket on her bed covering her up...and the stocking full of goodies! Lots of toys were under the tree for her. And her favorite was the dress up clothes. Imagine that! But thanks to the Dollar Tree for all the little goodies to help put that together! Steve loved all his gifts that I got him...A yellow dog lantern, Framed Map of his grandfather's oil lease
, and several pictures that I just recently had put on a disc from slides. Of course he got the usual clothing along with his SmartAss University Tshirt from Steve and Barry's. Gotta love that place! As for me, I got my pots and pans that I have been wanting for the past year or so. A NEW dishwasher...Clothes, and even some lipstick
(what's up with that)
